Well, it has been a lo o o o o ng time since I've posted. I've been busy like crazy this past couple of months. Traveling all over the country, it seems. I went to help my daughter in February after she had another eye surgery.
Then turned around a couple of weeks later and went to Utah to help my youngest sister who just had her first baby. It's been a lot of fun, but I'm ready to stay home and get caught up on my life here, now.
For our hostess group, we are going to be making these cute little nugget boxes.
Stampin' Up! has a great matchbox die cut in the new Occasions Mini Catalog.
Unfortunately, I don't have one of these dies yet.
So we're making these the 'old fashioned' way.
I took the instructions for these from Becky Roberts blog.
This is what she says: "The box bottom card stock size is 3 1/4" x 3 7/8", score at 5/8" all around. The slider top is transparency paper cut to 5 3/4" x 2 3/4". I don't remember the exact measurements for scoring it but this is my twisted logic as to how I got the score measurements. Score at 5/8", slide that score mark to 2 1/16", slide that score mark to 5/8" and that score mark to 2 1/16". It leaves you with about 1/4" left over to put Sticky Strip on."
I used Pink Pirouette card stock for the base and acetate for the top. The nuggets are covered in Bella Birds designer paper. The saying is from a new set, Only Ovals in the new Occasions Mini, punched out with the new oval scallop punch, also from the mini and the large oval punch, layered with our dimensionals. Last is the Pink Pirouette striped ribbon tied around the box.
