New Stamps!

Friday and Saturday I was able to go to a stamp/scrap retreat. It was SO much fun! Something about stamping away for hours and hours - no distractions - no fixing dinner, running the kids, laundry or cleaning. It was pure heaven for me!

Here are a couple of things I made with a new Stampin' Up!  friendship wheel. I used this wheel over and over again and made some great projects.

The little box is the cute Giardelli chocolate box that is the featured project on Splitcoaststampers. Directions are easy and can be found here.

(oh yeah, now we're back to brown again!)

I Love This Set!

My friend, Rhonda, was kind enough to lend me her Polka Dot Punches set 'cause mine hadn't come yet. She is such a good friend that she even let me mount this set and use it. It was BRAND NEW!

In return I made this card and the previous 2 cards I posted as a thank-you to her. I had so much fun playing with this set.

And guess what???? No Brown on this card!

Anothter SAB Card

I don't know what will happen if Brown ever goes out of style! It just seems to go with everything! Here's another card made with one of our new Sale-a-Bration sets that will be available February 1st.

My version of the Top Note Die Bag

I needed something I could put together fast to include with some orders this month. I have seen these little bags flying around the 'net - and they are SO cute. This is my version, along with instructions on how to do the inside box.

And then I discovered that something else in my stash fit in one of these cute little bags:

CANDY HEARTS! Perfect!

For the outside use the Top Note Die, new Texture folder for the dots - altho, I must confess that I used a Cuttlebug folder since I don't have the Big Shot one, yet!

For the inside:

Cut a piece of paper 6" X 4". Score at 1" on all 4 sides. Cut at the ends:

Then add sticky tape to the outside tabs and assemble box (it SHOULD look like this:)

Put a few strips of sticky tape on the long edges of the box, then add the Top Note Die pieces.

Embellish. Voila! So easy and so versatile!

I added a small magnet snap that came from the bottom of my 'hoarding' drawer.

Another Swap Card

This card is for a private invite swap I am in. Still trying to decide if it needs revamping.

I used So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive card stock. The DSP is new paper coming in February as part of Stampin' Up's Sale-a-Bration, as is the stamp set.

Supplies used: large eyelet, circle cutter, sizzlet heart die, small heart punch, Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon, paper piercer, edged distresser (used on the white heart)

SA Swap

Oh Wow! 10 days my poor blog has been waiting for me. I finally have some pictures of the projects I've been working on.

Here's a card that I made for my Swapper's Anonymous pre-order swap. I got my cards back today - they are all so beautiful.

I used the Sweet Stems stamp set, Rose Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Rose Red and White GrosgrainRibbon, White Ink and Dazzling Diamonds (that's what those blue dots are).

Love Ya Bunches!

I have had so much fun playing with this new bundle. I saw Nancy Riley's mini magazine holder and cards, and being the CASE'r that I am, I took her idea and played with it. The mini magazine holder comes from Becky Roberts over at Inking Idaho. Check out her tutorials: part 1 and part 2. These cards are all just under 3 X 3 - that way they fit in a 3 X 3 envelope!

All of the cards are pretty simple. I really like the effect of the punched out heart on this card.

This card took a little doing to get it just right. I had to measure the center of the DSP, the punch out with the scallop punch. It's hard to tell, but the DSP is layered on Pink Pirouette. Then I used my stamp-a-majig to line up the stamp in the middle of the punch out. You can't really see, but I use dimensionals behind the DSP to get it to stand out a litttle. The heart in the middle is also on a dimensional.

I stamped these little birdies on DSP and cut them out. The heart is punched from chocolate chip and mounted on a dimensional. I'm really in a Brown mood these days and the taffeta ribbon was just right!

This card is pretty self-explanatory. Stamped the heart on DSP, cut it out, punched out the corner and added a bow. Love these little cards!
